Actor Akshay Nalawade, celebrated for his roles as Garud Dev in Shiv Shakti and Kakbhushundi in Ramayan, has earned a respected place in the entertainment industry through his compelling performances. Despite the recognition, he remains grounded and approachable.
“I accept fame and attention with open arms. I never hesitate to talk to or appreciate people who want to interact with me—whether it’s clicking a picture, asking for an autograph, or simply saying hello. I genuinely believe I work for the public—for their love and acceptance. So, when that love comes my way, I reciprocate it wholeheartedly,” he says.
Staying Calm in an Unpredictable Industry
Acknowledging the uncertainties of showbiz, Akshay shares his personal coping strategies.
“During tough times, I turn to chanting and meditation to keep my mind calm and focused. The life of an artist comes with its share of challenges, rejections, and even trolling. To stay mentally strong and performance-ready, these practices are essential for me,” he explains.
He also makes fitness a priority, ensuring he is physically prepared for any opportunity that comes his way.
Balancing Confidence and Self-Doubt
Even with a balanced approach to life, Akshay admits that moments of self-doubt do occur. “I’ve learned there’s a thin line between thinking and overthinking. I avoid crossing that line because if I start overthinking, it’ll consume me. My faith in God and regular chanting help me stay grounded and avoid falling into the trap of negativity,” he says.
Separating Work and Personal Life
With back-to-back shoots and long working hours, Akshay consciously maintains a boundary between professional and personal life. “If work stress builds up, I often take my car out for a drive and listen to Bollywood music—it’s very soothing. Also, being with my family is my biggest escape. When I’m with them, I completely disconnect from work,” he shares.
Family: The Strongest Support System
At the heart of Akshay’s humility is the unwavering support of his loved ones. “My family is my biggest support system—and my first critics! Whether my performance is good or bad, they never shy away from sharing their honest feedback. Their constant involvement keeps me on my toes and motivates me to grow,” he concludes.
