Gurugram, August , 2025: Almawakening Foundation (AAF) organized this memorable event “Azadi with Safety” on August 17, 2025, at Unibliss Hospitality, Sector 46, Gurugram. The unique initiative, co-sponsored by EXC Ventures and promoted by Mr. Arun Chopra, brought together citizens, leaders, and changemakers to celebrate the spirit of freedom through the lens of safety, inclusivity, and equality.
The Core message of the event is: ‘Darr se Azadi hi Asli Azadi hai.’ This theme aligns with what Almawakening Foundation stands for — Equality, Independence, and Opportunity for all.”
The driving force behind this event is Ms. Alma Chopra, Founder of AAF, while delivering her message, Alma said, “True independence and real freedom can only be achieved when every individual has peace of mind — the confidence and security to live and act without fear.”
The day’s highlights included self-defense and safety awareness training conducted by Mr. Kailash Choudhury of Invictus Survival Sciences, emphasizing the need for preparedness and vigilance.
The program was graced (some virtually) by distinguished dignitaries including Sh. Ajay Kumar (District Commissioner, Gurugram), Arjuna Awardee Ms. Deepa Malik (India’s first Paralympian medalist), Mr. Varun Singh (Senior Advocate), and Dr. Charu Dutt Arora (Consultant Physician & Social Entrepreneur).
Guest of Honor Mr. Varun Singh appreciated the efforts of AAF and remarked, “A true nation’s strength lies in how it safeguards its most vulnerable citizens. Events like these ensure that Azadi becomes more inclusive and meaningful for all. The Indian Judicial system is committed to provide all forms of support to people with different abilities.”
Adding to the spirit, Dr. Charu Dutt Arora said, “Azadi ke is utsav mein humein ek doosre ka haath pakadna hai – chaahe buzurg ho, mahila ho, ya divyang vyakti. Healthcare, safety, aur inclusivity ko hum sabko apni zimmedari banana hoga.”
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from individuals across walks of life, including community members with different abilities, professionals, students, and social leaders. “The dialogue highlighted themes of strength, inclusivity, and independence.”
The success of Azadi with Safety was made possible with the support of partner organizations: Pink Guava Hotels, Rasoi on Wheels, MySafetiPin app, and Art & Dreams by Pranav Agarwal, who added strength and creativity to the cause.
Closing the event, Alma emphasized, “Freedom is not just about living without boundaries—it’s about creating a world where safety and respect are non-negotiable rights for every individual.”
