Through this system, eight high speed cameras of Hawk Eye will be on the field, due to which there will be no problem of any kind in taking the right decision. With the smart review system, no questions will be raised on the umpires’ decisions. The upcoming season of IPL will introduce a smart replay system for faster, accurate decision making and an easier process. Through the smart replay system, Hawk-Eye’s 8-speed cameras will be located throughout the field and two Hawk-Eye operators will be sitting in the TV umpire’s room.
Under this new system, the role of the TV broadcast director, who earlier used to act as a liaison between the Hawk Eye operator and the third umpire, will end. Now good quality photos and videos will be easily available under the smart review system.
For example, if a fielder takes the catch of a batsman, his pictures will be shown on the screen in two parts, in one part the fielder’s hand will be shown and on the other hand, whether his foot touched the boundary while taking the catch, it will be shown. .
